Kirby returns for her fourth season on the M-A varsity team after helping to lead the Bears to NorCal Champions and State Runner-Up titles. As an freshman, Kirby was featured in Prep Volleyball's Frosh 59: The Best Varsity Playing Freshmen in America, the MaxPreps 2013 Freshman All-American Team, and the Peninsula Athletic League's All League Honorable Mention list. In her sophomore year, Kirby was named the Palo Alto Weekly Athlete of the Week and made both the San Jose Mercury News' All-Mercury News Girls Volleyball Honorable Mention list and the Peninsula Athletic League's All League First Team. Last season, Kirby was named San Mateo Daily Journal's Girls' Volleyball Player of the Year.

Kirby has played 7 years of club volleyball, the last six with Vision Volleyball Club. In club, Kirby's teams have won numerous medals at national qualifiers, including placing 5th in the Open Division of the 2015 Girls Junior National Championships. Kirby will be continuing her volleyball career at Washington University in St. Louis next fall.
